Kids Art Programs

Children work on multi-media projects, concentrating on one project per class. The students will be introduced to artists and their mediums and will be encouraged to create their own masterpieces.
Renee is also an artist herself, her art shows in multiple galleries on Long Island.
Creativity involves critical thinking, planning, and focusing your attention. Children learn through this process as different parts of the brain jump into action. They might discover something they never knew before, learn how to solve a problem, or figure out a new way to look at or do something!
Supplies are included.

Rock Squad – Beginner Rock Band

Kids Group Music Programs

Our NEWEST Band Rock Squad, for beginners, 8 to 11, is a band directed by Natalia Rahim and assistant John Schroeder both exceptionally talented at a young age. The students joining this band should be able to play a song on the instrument of their choice, and it would help if they read sheet music or chords/charts. Singers are also welcome. They will work as a group mastering skills such as, playing together as a band, timing, and most importantly, performance and stage presence. At the conclusion of each session, students will perform to exhibit their growth over the session.
All instruments are welcome: vocals, guitar, bass, drums, keys, violin, or horns, etc.

This week-long group vocal camp offers campers an opportunity to sing all their favorite songs along with their peers. The campers work on all aspects of performance, harmonies, mic control, belting, tone, and timing. They will also learn exercises and techniques to help create strong and healthy vocals. They will sing along to tracks as well as acapella.
Songs will include Broadway, Pop, and Singer Songwriter selections from familiar sources. Learn how working with other vocalists can help you achieve a more polished voice all while having a blast.

All campers enjoy outdoor play and some arts and crafts related to their performance. At the end of each camp week, the group performs live!

Full Day: Monday – Friday – 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
Lunch: (bring your own) 12:00 to 12:30

Group Ukulele for Kids

Music is fun, and now everyone can have a chance to learn an instrument! EEA’s Group Ukulele class with Zach Marino is a great way to introduce your child to the beauty of music. Zach will introduce the ukulele to the kids in a group setting. Ukulele’s are inexpensive and are a great starter instrument. Learning simple chords with easy strumming, the students can engage in musical games, movement, and singing, all while developing their musical skills. The group will work on some simple songs for beginners, and have a blast playing along side their peers. Classes are small, with a maximum of 6 students per session. Sessions are 8 weeks.

Celestial Sun-Catcher Workshop

Starting Friday, April 14th, 2023 | 4:00PM–5:00PM EDT | Carriage House, 1st Floor

Students can combine acrylic painting and jewelry making.
Techniques to create whimsical wall decor inspired by the glittering stars and outer space. With the help of the sun, when the light hits just right on the prism charms rainbows will dance all around the room!

The first class students will have time to create an acrylic painting on their piece of wood with the option of following a step by step process from the teacher or to simply be free to paint whatever inspires them!
The second class students are encouraged to bring in their own trinkets or charms or anything special they might want to add! Once everyone has finished, then the top chain will be added in order for the piece to
hang.

All supplies are included in the price of the class.

Mini Canvas Magnets

Mini Canvas Magnets

Using tiny canvases students learn how to paint with acrylic paint and turn them into magnets! The magnets are perfect for hanging on the fridge at home and make great gifts too!

Students will prep and paint their mini canvases with a theme of their choosing! At the end of class students will be prompted to think of ways they would like to finish their paintings during the next class and if they would like to add any decorative elements to their projects. Magnets will be glued onto the back of the canvas once it is completed. The best part is that they walk away with their beautiful magnets.

Mermaid Belts

Starting Friday, March 24th, 2023 | 4:00PM–6:00PM EDT | Carriage House, 1st Floor

Mermaid Belts

Students explore different jewelry making techniques including beading and wire wrapping to create a magical mermaid chain belt using long island seashells and beach glass. Everyone is encouraged to bring in their own beach finds to include in their belt and share or trade with other students.

Students make the base of the belt by measuring the chain around their waist and cutting at the desired length. A giant lobster clasp will be attached to one end to create the belt. They will learn to wire wrap shells and beach glass to create the charms that will be attached later on with jump rings. The second class will be dedicated to adding finishing touches, beaded elements of their choice, more shells or other charms. The best part is that they walk away with their amazing Mermaid Belts.

All supplies are included in the price of the class.
