Winter Wonderland Camp
Presidents‘ Week Camp
Ages 5 – 10
President’s Week, February 19 – 23, 2024
Camp Director – Kenneth Jackson

Our camp this year is based on the award winning book, Snowflake Bentley, by Jacqueline Briggs Martin, illustrated by Mary Azarian. This Caldecott winner is a non-fiction introduction to Wilson Bentley who loved snowflakes from his very earliest years and spent decades figuring out how to photograph them. And subsequently discovered that no two snowflakes are exactly alike.

Ken introduces your child to a broad range of artistic and creative experiences based on award winning children’s books. This imaginative arts program engages children in art, theater, music, and dance.
Each day at camp includes visual arts (painting, drawing, sculpting, and craft activities), music (singing, dancing, and exploring different instruments), and theater (stories, puppetry, role-playing, and other dramatic activities).

East End Arts offers a comfortable home-like setting and fenced-in, park-like grounds for outdoor play. The small group size provides for a supportive camp experience with lots of personal attention given to each camper.

Not Your Average Band Camp

This week-long Group Performance Camp offers an opportunity to play alongside your peers. All instruments are welcome, especially, electric guitar, bass, drums, vocals, and piano. Explore multiple genres through percussion, full band, and vocal performances.

The camps will include all genres. Learn how music brings us all together, while discovering new instruments, and playing with your peers. Students should be able to play at least one instrument, or be able to sing.

This is a great camp to try out new forms of music, new instruments, and bond with fellow music lovers. At the end of each camp week, the band performs live!

Star Power Vocal Camp

Sing all your favorite songs, including Broadway, Pop, and Singer Songwriter selections, along with your peers. Work on all aspects of performance, harmonies, mic control, belting, tone, and timing. Learn how working with other vocalists can help you achieve a more polished voice all while having a blast.

Ukulele Group Camp

Enjoy a fun, creative week learning the basics of the Ukulele, including rhythm, chords and strumming. Add some fun vocals and play along with others, while learning new music and gaining new skills. Open to beginners and beginner/intermediate levels. Students are required to bring their own Ukulele. There is a group performance at the finish of the camp week, on Fridays.
