East End Arts Gallery Shows
East End Arts unlocks creativity and builds community through its inclusive art gallery programming.
Showcasing artists of all disciplines and mediums, our revolving art gallery exhibitions are always unique and free to the public. Shows include established and emerging artists, including an annual Members’ Show and an open juried exhibition. Since its founding in 1972, EEA strives to bring inspirational and aspirational art to the artists, residents, and visitors of the East End.
East End Arts’ major art exhibitions are held 6-8 times per year across our two art galleries in the heart of the Riverhead Arts district:
The 2024 Annual Elizabeth Richard Memorial Members’ Show ‘Well Red’ invites EEA Member artists of all disciplines to showcase a single piece that creatively depicts the varied significance of the color red in practical use, culture, history, feeling, message, or symbolism.
East End Arts also partners with local public venues to showcase EEA Member artwork. All are welcome to view these satellite galleries during the venue’s open hours. Artwork changes every 4-24 weeks, depending on the space, and all artwork is for sale.
East End Arts helps you unlock your creativity and share your art with the community.
When you become a Working Artist Member of East End Arts, your art can be displayed in our satellite galleries and sold in our online gallery. You will also enjoy discounts throughout the year on classes, private lessons, and more!
Creativity breeds creativity and artists need access to the people and places that inspire them. Arts Insider and Working Artist memberships entitle you to visit any cultural center, museum, or gallery within the North American Reciprocal Museum network for free! All Members get first access to calls and events, receive special Members’ only emails, and are invited to our bi-monthly Member Meet Ups and private Facebook group.
Not every artist has the luxury of their own studio or space at home. All Members of East End Arts gain access to Open Art Studio time to create their own art in a fantastic space. Members can use our art classrooms when there isn’t a class running so they can have a creative space to work. It also provides a bit of a social element to those who like to work with others.
All Members are invited to exhibit their art in the annual EEA Elizabeth Richards Memorial Members’ Show, the first exhibition every year, and at various art sales and vendor events, including our Mosaic Street Painting Festival. Working Artist Member art may be displayed at satellite galleries and special exhibits throughout the year, and you may also sell your art via East End Arts’ online gallery site, ShopEEA.com. Each membership level unlocks additional opportunities to offer your art while appreciating the art of others in our community. The higher your membership level, the more access you gain to sell or share your art.
