Mosaic Street Painting Festival

Each Memorial Day Weekend, East End Arts unleashes the creativity of the neighborhood and brings the community together for the Mosaic Street Painting Festival.

A Can’t-Miss Event

This family-focused event was inspired by the street artists of Grazie di Curtatone, Italy who gather each year for the Incontro Nazionale dei Madonnari where the streets of the village are converted into works of art in chalk.

FAQ

How much is the Mosaic Festival?

The festival is FREE to attend! If you’d like to create a chalk square you can pre-purchase here for $25 or purchase on the day of the event for $30. You can also pre-purchase a larger sponsor square here, common for local businesses and organizations.

What is a chalk square?

This is a 4’x6′ space on the street that becomes your canvas. The price includes pastel chalks for you to use, and the chalk recycling center is a place to leave and find extras to share. There are wash stations to rinse off. You may work alone or in a group of family and friends. We encourage all street artists to bring any other tools and comfort items they may need.

Is the festival family friendly?

Yes! The Mosaic Festival is enjoyed by all ages. Kids love creating squares, participating in the community chalk mural, and having fun in the kid zone.

What if it rains?

The rain date for the 2023 Mosaic Festival is Monday 5/29, 2PM-5PM.
