Fantastic Art Time, is a children’s art exploration class with artist and teacher, Kenneth Jackson.

This fun-filled hour-long class is packed with tons of art exploration. Students discover new ways to paint and draw, working with multiple mediums that allow them to create and let their imaginations go wild. All materials included.

Ultimate Studio, Drawing & Painting Class with Kenneth Jackson.

Ultimate Studio is an ongoing studio class, formatted in four-week sessions, to help build your skills in multiple mediums of art. This unique studio class will delve into the basics of drawing and painting. Each week the student concentrates on different styles, paint mediums, and subject matter, mastering a portrait, then a figure, then still life, then abstract, and maybe landscape too. This class is suited for all levels and works as a true studio class. Each person walks away with a sense of accomplishment and determination, with improved skills to push them even further in their art journey. The goal is to complete a fantastic art piece each session.

Please bring your own supplies, canvas, paints, paper, etc. Easels, brushes, and other basic supplies will be provided. If you wish to utilize EEA supplies, you will be charged an additional $5.00 per class.

Studio Art is an open studio class, similar to our successful Ultimate Studio class on Saturdays. Each class helps you build your skills in multiple mediums of art. This unique studio class will delve into the basics of drawing and painting. Each session the student concentrates on different styles, paint mediums, and subject matter, mastering a portrait, then a figure, then still life, then abstract, and maybe landscape too. This class is suited for all levels and works as a true studio class. Each person walks away with a sense of accomplishment and determination, with improved skills to push them even further in their art journey. The goal is to complete a fantastic art piece each session.

Students learn about the lives of artists and how they have contributed to the art world; as well as create wonderful artwork to take home. All ages are welcome, you can bring your own supplies, or pay a small fee of $5.00 (payable in cash or online) if you wish to utilize EEA’s art supplies for the class.

Are you a high school student with a passion for art, aspiring to pursue your creative dreams at a college or university? This Art Portfolio Class is designed to help you develop a strong portfolio that will impress college admissions committees and increase your chances of getting into your dream art school. Over four comprehensive sessions, we will guide you through the process of creating a compelling art portfolio that showcases your talent, creativity, and unique artistic voice.

Session 1: Foundation and Focus
Dates: Saturday, November 11, 18, December 9, & 16
No class November 25 and December 2, 2023

Description:
In the first session, we will establish a strong foundation for your portfolio by exploring fundamental art principles and techniques. You will learn how to select a theme or focus for your portfolio that reflects your artistic interests and strengths. Through guided exercises and discussions, you will begin to build a solid artistic framework that will serve as the backbone of your portfolio.

Sign up for all four sessions and by the end of this Art Portfolio Class, you will have a polished and well-prepared portfolio that reflects your artistic journey and demonstrates your readiness for college-level art programs. Students focus on painting in acrylic with the opportunity to create still life, landscapes, portraits, and even pet portraits. The class will focus on acrylic painting, working from photographs or life, and will explore different techniques of drawing and painting.
You will also learn helpful information about paint, brushes, paint consistencies, textures, and different finishes you can use.

You will walk away a more confident painter and be ready to move to the next level.
