Join artist Lauren Prochera for an exciting new class on Pyrography at East End Arts! Pyrography, or wood-burning art, is a captivating craft that allows you to create stunning designs on wood using a wood-burning tool. Lauren, whose work has been featured in EEA’s gallery exhibits and has won Best in Show, is passionate about wildlife and creativity, and she’s eager to share her expertise with you.
This workshop is perfect for all levels, from beginners to experienced artists. All you need is a little creativity and a willingness to try something new!
Before the class, you’ll need to purchase a few items, all of which are reasonable and accessible. You’ll need a handheld wood-burning beginner tool (available for about $15 at Michaels), two pieces of small wood (one for testing and one to keep, preferably basswood for its smoothness, available at Michaels for about $3 – $8 depending on size), a pencil and eraser, and masking tape.
