Portrait Workshop – Learn to Draw a Self Portrait
with Renee Brown
Learn how to approach the portrait. In this class, students will learn to simplify the form, work with a controlled palette, and create beautiful portraits. We will have discussions on hue and value, and how they apply to skin tones and shadow. The paintings will be developed over the 2-week session.
Supplies needed for class:
Acrylic paint
paint brushes
canvas/canvas board (either is fine)
pencils (does not need to be anything specific)
Mondays 4:30 pm – 7:00 pm
