Learn more about our faculty member Lorraine Rimmelin.
Watercolorist Lorraine Rimmelin strives for a level of excitement and movement that engages the viewer in her interpretation of nature. Lorraine finds dynamic colorful juxtapositions in groups of flowers or shapes in a sunset. She then captures the essence of these images as she develops her paintings.
After fulfilling her career as a salon owner, hair stylist & colorist, she followed her dream of becoming a watercolor artist. The influence of her past training is evident in her dramatic use of color, shape & design elements within her art. She has transformed her love of designing hair into an award-winning profession of limitless artistic possibilities.
Lorraine teaches a variety of watercolor workshops. Because of her easy, comfortable, & creative style of sharing techniques & information about painting with watercolor & alcohol ink, she has become highly sought after teacher.
