When I am painting my visions of the world I am filled with gratitude for everybody and everything. I transform paint into abundant light filled with energy and life. My goal is to awaken in the viewer a feeling of extraordinary awareness.

My figurative landscapes are painted directly from life working with my French easel outdoors. I am compelled toward the more complex compositional conditions creating the illusion of three-dimensional space. When I paint a formal portrait using a photograph as a reference each brushstroke embellishes the person’s characteristics with emotional empathy.

I am an academically trained artist painting since my youth. My subjects range from the classic figurative landscape tradition to formal portraiture.
