This class is open to individuals of all levels and abilities. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or just starting your artistic journey, this class welcomes you to explore and express yourself freely.

Our instructor, Marie-Ael, is passionate about helping you discover the artist within.

In her own words …
“Everyone has a unique perception and relationship to the world that deserves to be heard, seen, encouraged… and shared. My ambition is to encourage everyone to connect with their creative potential and to discover, develop and express their own visual world and voice through the use of a variety of mediums, techniques and artistic references. My vision is also for the people to connect to each other as creative artists, supporting the unfolding of each other’s unique vision and style. Each class will be an opportunity for creative relaxation, artistic connection and self discovery.”

During this class you will work with paint, mixed media, and dabble in printmaking. You will be encouraged to engage in thought-provoking discussions on creativity and artistic expression. The group focuses on nurturing your individual creativity and fostering a supportive community, Marie-Ael is committed to helping you develop your unique artistic vision and style

You can pay for one class or get a 5 or 10 class pass at a discounted price.
The class will run weekly on Wednesdays from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm.
There is a material fee (see below).

Starting Thursday, February 29th, 2024 | 4:00PM–5:00PM EST | School Art Studio

Kids Art Programs

Children work on multi-media projects, concentrating on one project per class. The students will be introduced to artists and their mediums and will be encouraged to create their own masterpieces. Melissa emphasizes creativity in every project.

Creativity involves critical thinking, planning, and focusing your attention. Children learn through this process as different parts of the brain jump into action. They might discover something they never knew before, learn how to solve a problem, or figure out a new way to look at or do something!
Supplies are included.

Thursdays, 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., 10 Classes, February 29, March 7, 14, 21 April 4, 11, 18, May 2, 9, & 16 (no classes March 28, & April 25).

Studio Art is an open studio class, similar to our successful Ultimate Studio class on Saturdays. Each class helps you build your skills in multiple mediums of art. This unique studio class will delve into the basics of drawing and painting. Each session the student concentrates on different styles, paint mediums, and subject matter, mastering a portrait, then a figure, then still life, then abstract, and maybe landscape too. This class is suited for all levels and works as a true studio class. Each person walks away with a sense of accomplishment and determination, with improved skills to push them even further in their art journey. The goal is to complete a fantastic art piece each session.

Please bring your own supplies, canvas, paints, paper, etc. Easels, brushes, and other basic supplies will be provided. If you wish to utilize EEA supplies, you will be charged an additional $5.00 per class.

Art Portfolio Class – Projects and Concentrations

Course Description:
Are you a high school student with a passion for art, aspiring to pursue your creative dreams at a college or university? This Art Portfolio Class is designed to help you develop a strong portfolio that will impress college admissions committees and increase your chances of getting into your dream art school. Over four comprehensive sessions, we will guide you through the process of creating a compelling art portfolio that showcases your talent, creativity, and unique artistic voice.

Session 2: Projects and Concentrations
Dates: Saturday, January 13, 20, January 27, & February 10
No class February 3, 2023

Description:
Session two is all about turning your creative ideas into tangible projects. You will delve into creating a series of artworks that revolve around your chosen theme or concentration. Our experienced instructors will provide individualized guidance, helping you refine your artistic concepts and develop a cohesive body of work. By the end of this session, you will have completed projects to include in your portfolio.

Sign up for all four sessions and by the end of this Art Portfolio Class, you will have a polished and well-prepared portfolio that reflects your artistic journey and demonstrates your readiness for college-level art programs.
