Studio Art Class – Exploring Creative Mediums
Instructor: Christopher Ghiraldi

Unlock your artistic potential with ongoing Studio Art Classes led by Christopher Ghiraldi, a multifaceted visual artist with over two decades of experience. These classes, open to all levels of ability, offer a comprehensive exploration of various artistic mediums, including watercolor, oils, acrylics, mixed media, and more. Ghiraldi, who holds a BFA from SUNY Purchase, brings a deep understanding of color theory, form, and creative expression to each session.

What sets these classes apart is their focus on individuality. Christopher emphasizes personal style and self-expression, encouraging students to explore and refine their unique artistic voice. With guidance tailored to each participant’s goals, you’ll have the freedom to experiment with techniques across different mediums, whether you’re drawn to painting whimsical robots, intricate abstracts, or portraiture.

The studio environment fosters creative growth in a supportive, hands-on setting, where you’ll develop foundational skills while delving into advanced techniques at your own pace. With Ghiraldi’s experience and expertise, these ongoing sessions offer the perfect balance of structured learning and artistic freedom, making them an ideal space for students to expand their artistic horizons.

Come to class with a sketchbook, any mediums you want to explore, as well as any references to jumpstart your creativity.

Ultimate Studio, Drawing & Painting Class with Kenneth Jackson.

Ultimate Studio is an ongoing studio class, formatted in four-week sessions, to help build your skills in multiple mediums of art. This unique studio class will delve into the basics of drawing and painting. Each week the student concentrates on different styles, paint mediums, and subject matter, mastering a portrait, then a figure, then still life, then abstract, and maybe landscape too. This class is suited for all levels and works as a true studio class. Each person walks away with a sense of accomplishment and determination, with improved skills to push them even further in their art journey. The goal is to complete a fantastic art piece each session.

Please bring your own supplies, canvas, paints, paper, etc. Easels, brushes, and other basic supplies will be provided. If you wish to utilize EEA supplies, you will be charged an additional:

Mixed Media Art Workshop with Eileen Kelly

Join us for a creative exploration in our Mixed Media Art Workshop, led by the talented Eileen Kelly. This two-hour, one-day workshop is designed for artists of all levels—whether you’re just starting out or have years of experience. Dive into the vibrant world of mixed media, where you’ll combine various materials and techniques to create unique, expressive works of art.

Eileen will guide you through the process of layering textures, colors, and patterns, helping you discover new ways to express your artistic vision. You’ll have the opportunity to experiment with collage, painting, drawing, and more, all while learning how to harmonize different mediums into a cohesive piece.

By the end of the class, you’ll walk away with a finished artwork that reflects your personal style and creativity, as well as new skills and inspiration for your artistic journey.

Kids Art Programs
Children work on multi-media projects, concentrating on one project per class. The students will be introduced to artists and their mediums and will be encouraged to create their own masterpieces. Melissa emphasizes creativity in every project.

Creativity involves critical thinking, planning, and focusing your attention. Children learn through this process as different parts of the brain jump into action. They might discover something they never knew before, learn how to solve a problem, or figure out a new way to look at or do something!
Supplies are included.

Art Portfolio Preparation with Ken Jackson

This course runs two weeks on and two weeks off, to allow you time to develop your projects. Ken will critique and direct you as you move forward. The goal is to build a body of work to create a strong portfolio.

This Art Portfolio Class is designed to help you develop a strong portfolio that will impress college admissions committees and increase your chances of getting into your dream art school. Over four comprehensive sessions, Ken will guide you through the process of creating a compelling art portfolio that showcases your talent, creativity, and unique artistic voice.

Session 1: Foundation and Focus – August 17 and 24
Session 2: Projects and Concentrations – September 14 and 21
Session 3: Portfolio Prep for Presentation – October 12 and 19
Session 4: Presentation and Getting into Your Dream College – November 9 and 16
