Take your music from practice to performance! Join a band at East End Arts Council—play your favorite songs, perform live, and grow with pro guidance!
Playing in a group and learning to perform are crucial to developing musicianship. Whether you’ve always wanted to be in a band, you’re playing alone and don’t know where to go next, or your instrument is ready to be dusted off, the Group Music Programs at East End Arts Council guide you to form and develop in a band without barriers or judgement. You can be playing Rock, Pop, Punk, Yacht Rock, and more while honing your skills and having fun.
At East End Arts Council, groups are taught by professionals who understand real-life experience as band members. Each EEAC band is collaborative and creates its own culture and setlists under the direction of its Band Director. This means your group picks its name, plays the music you love, and develops for actual public performances and contests.
East End Arts Council bands regularly take the stage at local venues, community events, and private functions. Our curriculums and teaching styles are based on performance opportunities and set students up to succeed in real-life scenarios, such as switching to acoustic sets or performing with a fill-in musician.
Rehearsals are ongoing throughout the year, occurring nearly every week, and gigs are carefully selected for each group. Our instructors are dedicated to helping you progress at a pace that challenges yet supports you. With personalized attention and tailored instruction, you enhance your musical abilities and performance confidence. Many band members also begin exploring other instruments and genres.
Led by Chris Jones, a Berklee College of Music alum with a rich history of performing across prestigious venues, our program demystifies band dynamics. Chris brings his vast experience in genres ranging from jazz to punk, ensuring you learn from the best and play like the best.
Practice and perform in our state-of-the-art music studios, and venues equipped with professional-grade instruments and sound systems. Every rehearsal is an opportunity to prepare under gig-like conditions. Drum kits and PA systems are ready for use and other equipment may be provided.
