East End Arts Council was recently featured in the Riverhead News-Review highlighting the grand opening of our new temporary home at the Riverhead Town Annex Building, located at 206 Griffing Avenue.
The article showcased how the Annex now houses art and music classrooms, recording and podcast studios, a library, and creative workspaces—all coming together under one roof while construction continues at our Main Street campus as part of the Town Square project.
In the feature, East End Arts Council president Wendy Weiss expressed gratitude to our team, supporters, and the Town of Riverhead for helping make this transition smooth and successful. The town provided essential upgrades such as ADA accessibility, lighting improvements, and subsidized moving costs, allowing us to keep resources focused on programming and culture-building.
The Main Street gallery will remain open through early 2026 for the annual members show, giving us time to secure a future gallery space in Riverhead. Meanwhile, the Annex offers expanded accessibility and continues to be a hub for creativity and community connection.
