Printmaking Workshops

Dive into the world of printmaking! Our hands-on workshops take you through the full process from start to finish. No experience needed, just a curiosity to make something with your hands. Open to all experience levels, with all materials provided. Get your hands inky and meet our newly refurbished printmaking presses!

Linocut Printmaking 

WHAT IS IT: 

  • One of the oldest printmaking techniques. You carve a design into a linoleum block, ink it up, and press it onto paper to create your print. 

WHAT TO EXPECT: 

  • Carve, ink, and print your own linocut design using our traditional printing presses.

Monotype Printmaking 

WHAT IS IT: 

  • The most painterly of the printmaking processes. You apply ink directly onto a plate and transfer it onto paper. Every print is one of a kind. 

WHAT TO EXPECT: 

  • Paint, experiment, and pull a unique print that can never be exactly repeated.

Intro to Screen Printing 

WHAT IS IT: 

  • A technique used to create bold, graphic prints on paper, fabric, and more. You push ink through a mesh screen onto your surface using a stencil design. 

WHAT TO EXPECT: 

  • Learn to prepare a screen, mix your inks, and print multiple copies of your design to take home on both paper and fabric/clothing.
