Dive into the world of printmaking! Our hands-on workshops take you through the full process from start to finish. No experience needed, just a curiosity to make something with your hands. Open to all experience levels, with all materials provided. Get your hands inky and meet our newly refurbished printmaking presses!
Printmaking Intensive
This six-week course introduces students to three core printmaking processes: linocut relief printing, etching (intaglio), and screen printing on paper and fabric. Students will gain hands-on experience with each process and learn how to print using a traditional press. They will explore how each technique can be used and adapted to support their own creative practice. This course also introduces students to the history and development of printmaking. The registration fee includes all Sunday sessions for six weeks and all materials.

Linocut Printmaking
WHAT IS IT:
One of the oldest printmaking techniques. You carve a design into a linoleum block, ink it up, and press it onto paper to create your print.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Carve, ink, and print your own linocut design using our traditional printing presses.
WORKSHOPS:
Friday, October 2 · 7 PM – 9 PM · $45
Monotype Printmaking
WHAT IS IT:
The most painterly of the printmaking processes. You apply ink directly onto a plate and transfer it onto paper. Every print is one of a kind.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Paint, experiment, and pull a unique print that can never be exactly repeated.

Abstract Collage Workshop
WHAT IS IT:
A hands-on approach to creating abstract compositions with drawing tools and colorful paper, using layering, tearing, cutting, shape, texture, and color.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Experiment with materials and composition while creating your own abstract collage with visiting artist and master printmaker Jayes Caitlin. All materials are provided and no previous art experience is required.

Cyanotype Printing
WHAT IS IT:
An early photographic printing process known for its distinctive deep blue color. Images are created using light-sensitive materials and exposure to sunlight.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Explore the cyanotype process with artist Andrea Cote, from coating paper to creating images with drawing, stencils, plants, and other natural materials. Open to all experience levels, ages 16+.

Etching Printmaking Workshop
WHAT IS IT:
A printmaking process where a design is engraved into a plate, inked, and transferred onto paper using a traditional printing press.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Learn to engrave, ink, and print your own plexi plate on a traditional printmaking press. All materials are included, and all experience levels are welcome.
