Mosaic Festival 2026: Come Celebrate Our 30th Anniversary

This year marks the 30th Anniversary of the annual MOSAIC Festival and opportune coincides with America250 celebrations, setting our community up for the biggest festival yet and most colorful day of 2026!  

MOSAIC30 will take place on Sunday, May 31, 2026 from 12-5pm at the Riverhead Town Hall Campus [W. 2nd St. to Railroad Ave.]

What is MOSAIC30?

MOSAIC30 is the 30th annual MOSAIC Street Painting Festival presented by East End Arts & Humanities Council. This free, family-friendly event transforms downtown Riverhead into a vibrant outdoor gallery filled with art, music, food, and community fun.

When & where is MOSAIC30?

The festival takes place outdoors in downtown Riverhead at the Riverhead Town Hall campus and along W. Second Street.

Rain date: Sunday, June 7.

Is the festival free?

YES! MOSAIC30 is free and open to the public. Visitors are free to come and go throughout the event.

Who is it for?

Everyone! MOSAIC30 welcomes all ages and abilities. You do not have to be an artist to have fun.

What can I expect?

Live street painting, music and performances, artisan and retail vendors, food trucks, and hands-on art activities throughout the day.

Are sponsorships available?

Yes. Sponsorship opportunities offer strong visibility and directly support East End Arts Council’s programming, music, and arts education programs.

How do artists participate?

Artists can reserve a 4’x6’ or 8’x8’ street painting square in advance or the day of the event. Chalk is provided; additional chalk can be purchased. Save by pre-purchasing your square. Artist check-in is required on the day of the event.

How do vendors participate?

Artisan, retail, and food vendors may apply through the vendor application. Insurance and permitting are required.

Is the festival accessible?

Yes. The event is ADA-accessible, and East End Arts Council is committed to inclusive programming.

What if it rains?

If needed, the festival will move to the scheduled rain date of June 7. Updates will be shared online.

Will there be bathrooms?

Yes. Porta Johns will be available on the event site, including ADA-accessible units.

Where can I park?

There is abundant free street and lot parking in the areas surrounding the Town Hall Campus, including courthouse lots, train station lots, and municipal lots behind W. Main St and E. Main St. Please note that W. 2nd Street between Roanoke and Griffing Ave will be closed to vehicle traffic and parking starting at approximately 8:00 AM on festival day.
