About the Show

Each year, East End Arts Council opens its first exhibition of the season by celebrating the creativity, collaboration, and spirit of its members. The Elizabeth Richard Memorial Members’ Show brings together artists of all disciplines to exhibit under a shared theme — and in 2026, that theme is In Motion.

Movement is both the inspiration and the metaphor for this year’s show, symbolizing not only artistic energy and transformation but also the exciting transition of East End Arts Council itself. This exhibition marks the final show at 133 E. Main Street before the organization’s temporary relocation during the Riverhead Town Square revitalization project.

Artists are invited to submit one original piece that captures the essence of movement — whether through energy, rhythm, travel, emotion, or change. From kinetic sculptures to bold brushstrokes and experimental media, In Motion celebrates how art reflects the pulse of life itself.

Mini Members’ Show

For our youngest creators, the Mini Members’ Show gives artists ages 5–12 their own special gallery space to interpret the theme of In Motion. It’s a joyful way to encourage the next generation of artists to share their imagination with the community.

How to Participate

The Members’ Show is open exclusively to active East End Arts Council Members (ages 13+) and Mini Members (ages 5–12).

• All mediums are welcome.

• Only one piece per artist.

• Entries must align with the theme In Motion.

• Non-juried exhibition; no monetary prizes.

• Entry fee covers system and installation costs.

Submission Period: November 1 – January 3
Artwork Drop-Off: December 15 – January 9
