Words Of Purpose: A Literary Arts Exhibit & Workshop

This interactive workshop is designed to guide attendees through the process of transforming their journaling practice into creative writing, whether it be in the form of a book, poetry, or other literary works.

Participants will explore how everyday reflections can become the seeds of powerful storytelling, poetic expression, or even a full-length book. The goal is to help participants tap into their inner creativity, gain confidence in their writing abilities, and learn practical techniques for developing their ideas. This workshop will leave participants inspired and equipped with practical tools to transform their personal reflections into creative works, whether it be poetry, short stories, or even a full-length book.

Join us for an immersive watercolor art class led by Christopher Ghiraldi, a versatile artist with over 20 years of experience. Open to all skill levels, this workshop focuses on capturing the vibrant colors of the East End landscape using watercolor techniques as well as gouache. Ghiraldi’s deep understanding of color theory, honed through a BFA from SUNY Purchase, allows him to expertly guide participants in exploring the subtle shifts and bold contrasts of natural light and color.

Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced painter, you will learn how to harness the unique properties of watercolor to bring your vision to life. Christopher’s own artistic journey includes a diverse portfolio that ranges from whimsical robots and detailed portraits to complex abstract designs.
