B.L.T.N. (Better Late Than Never) is EEA’s adult rock band, directed by Bakithi Kumalo, five-time Grammy winner best know for his work with Paul Simon on Graceland, along with Music Director Chris Jones and Assistant Director Natalia Rahim.

Bakithi leads this group of musicians, who were once too busy to play and now their love of jamming is reborn. Playing at real venues and perfecting their performance skills.

It’s a great way to unwind and socialize in a fun setting and to live the dream!

New Kids on the Rock is a band mentored by Bakithi Kumalo and directed by Music Director Chris Jones. Bakithi has played on five Grammy-winning albums and is best known for his work with Paul Simon on Graceland. The students work on mastering skills such as; playing together as a band, timing, and most importantly, performance and stage presence. At the conclusion of each session, students will perform to exhibit their growth over the session.

All students are required to be proficient at an intermediate level in an instrument of choice in order to participate: vocals, guitar, bass, drums, keys, violin, or horns (all instruments are welcome).

Rehearsal Dates:
Tuesdays, 4:30 to 6:00 pm, September 12, 19, 26, October 3, 10, 17, 24, & November 7 – Final show TBD

Meet Natalia Rahim, an accomplished singer and seasoned Assistant Director to all EEA bands. With her vast experience and impressive talent, Natalia brings a wealth of knowledge to this group of aspiring singers who share a common passion – singing.

Over the course of six weeks, this group will embark on a journey of selecting songs, refining their timing, perfecting their key, and harmonizing as a group. The ultimate goal is to deliver an unforgettable performance, the details of which are yet to be determined.

This program is designed to be a fun and stress-free environment where singers can come together to satisfy their inner desire to perform on stage and let their voices soar. With Natalia’s expert guidance and support, this is the perfect opportunity to unleash your inner diva and sing your heart out!
