Explore your most personal impressions of nature using watercolor in the spirit of spontaneity!  Students will use the power of transparency in layering colors and applying washes. Explore various techniques to create uninhibited texturing with sponging, scratching, lifting out, salt relief, clingwrap and more.  Students will create a monochromatic study to observe the changes in light; A chromatic study to observe how warm and cool colors portray depth and distance; a wonderfully executed art piece incorporating techniques of watercolor to document your personal expression.
Working from photos, instructor will have a landscape to share but students are encouraged to bring their own inspirational landscape photo.
Material list will be supplied at registration.
