EEA Rocks is our inaugural band directed by Music Director Chris Jones. The rehearsals run continuously in the Fall/ Winter and Winter/Spring, with a special session in the summer. The goal is to perfect a set of music to be used in multiple performances throughout the year. The students work on mastering skills such as; playing together as a band, timing, and most importantly, performance and stage presence.

All students are required to be proficient at an intermediate to advanced level in an instrument of choice in order to participate.: vocals, guitar, bass, drums, keys, violin, or horns (all instruments are welcome).

New band members must audition, please request an application at education @eastenndarts.org before signing up. After your audition, your options and rehearsal schedules will be explained to you based on current band needs. If bands are full or scheduling doesn’t work, you may be placed on a waiting list until a position opens for your instrument or a new band is formed.

As a band, consistent participation is essential. Students are required to attend all rehearsals unless they have an excused absence, in order to participate in performances. Each student is allowed one excused absence (24 hour notice) per four sessions, but they remain responsible for learning their parts. An unexcused absence or no-show may result in expulsion from the group with out a refund.

Cost: Four 2-hour rehearsals – $160.00, Member Price – 20% discount – $128.00
