Kids Art & Adult Painting

I was born in 1961 in Huntington Long Island. I knew from the early age of four that I wanted to be an artist. My Mother supported my interest in the arts especially the visual arts and she allowed me to attend the Usdan Center for the Performing and Creative Arts when I was seven years old. It was then that I first used acrylic tube paints and I became hooked for life with my love for color and painting. I received a BFA from RISD and I was invited to be a graduate teaching assistant for Stan Brodsky as I earned my MFA degree from C.W.Post LIU. I also had a love for people ,children and the energy of the group so naturally having a career as a public school art teacher was a good choice for me. I have always continued on my own path with my creative endeavors and look for forward to continuing this journey.

I taught art to grades K-12 for 30 years at North Babylon School District ,I taught painting at the Usdan Center , expressive arts for children at the Long Island Museums in Stony Brook , Still life painting for teens at The Huntington Art League, pre college drawing VIS 101 through Farmingdale State University.
