Joshua Olsen

Joshua Olsen, works in both analog and digital mediums that often take form as paintings, animations, and public murals. Josh’s inspirations come from graphic novels, political cartoons, and pop and street artists (Kaws, Fred Fliesher, Basqiot, Willam Kendridge, and Ten Hundred.) Josh has earned an A.A.S. in Computer Art and Animation, a B.F.A. in Studio Art, and a M.F.A. in Community Art with a focus in the teaching of art. Josh has won national and state level awards and competitions in the categories of animation, illustration, 3D design, cartooning, and painting. He has shown his work in art galleries, museums, and film festivals within New York and Maryland. Josh has taught art in higher education, art schools and in community settings.
